Five Love languages refer to as different means of
expressing love just as courtship in animals: word of affirmation, receiving the gift, Quality time, the act of service, and physical touch, These are the five
secrets to love that last.
Although people
have different ways they prefer to receive love, Sunny Motamedi, a marriage and family therapist quoted that
"discovering you and your partner's primary love language and speaking
that language regularly may create a better understanding of each other's needs
and support each other's growth."
Here are the five love languages;
1. word of
affirmation
People with words of affirmation as a love language
value oral confessions of affection, entailing frequent "I love
you's," compliments, words of gratitude, verbal encouragement, and often
frequent digital communication like chatting, video calls, and others. All
these expressions make them feel more appreciated.
2. the act of
services
People with The love language "act of
service" prefer when their partner goes out of their way to make them
comfortable. Things like bringing them food when they are sick, making them
coffee before they awake, cleaning up for them when they are tired.
Unlike people that prefer hearing sweet words, these
people believe action speaks louder than words, doing things to make their life
comfortable is highly cherished by them.
3. Quality time
People whose
love language is "quality time" Feel mostly honored when their
partner regularly spends time with them or better still, they prefer going on a
date with their partner. This love language is all about giving our
uninterrupted attention to someone we love to have a meaningful discussion or
future affairs.
4. Physical
touch
People with "physical touch" as their love
language feel most honored when they receive physical intimacy, such as sex,
cuddling on the couch, and kissing. Physical intimacy is a very powerful
emotional connector for people like this, they value the feeling of warmth and
enjoyment from physical touch.
5. gift
Giving gifts is the most common and simply a straightforward love language. People with this love language Value receiving gifts
with a visual symbol of love, they enjoy being gifted something physical and
meaningful. It's not about the monetary value but the symbolic thought behind
the gift.
